Dumitru runs a consulting practice that audits and inspects cruise line hotel and technical operations, as well as food and beverage facilities. Previously, Dumitru served as Corporate Sanitation Officer and advisor with Apollo – BSSL and Celestyal Cruises, where he focused on public health and food safety.
Prior to founding his consulting practice, one that audits and inspects cruise lines hotel and technical operations, food and beverage facilities, and provides HACCP training for customers, Dumitru served as Corporate Sanitation Officer and advisor with Apollo – BSSL and Celestyal Cruises. In that position, he was responsible for maintaining food safety policy, managing public health performances, and implementing public health training; implementing outbreaks control and response protocols, including food borne illness outbreaks investigations with shoreside excursions. Dumitru’s achievements include consulting on international standards that impact cruise companies such as the EUHG, EU SHIPSAN and U.S.P.H.S. Vessel Sanitation Program. He is a certified food safety manager and trainer, and a member of the Charter Institute of Environmental Health, Fellow of Royal Society of Public Health, and Associate of the Faculty of Public Health.
